We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Customer Service Administrator to join our team and help ensure our service operations run smoothly.
About the Role:
This role is central to delivering excellent customer service and supporting the day-to-day operation of our service department. You will coordinate service activities, support engineers and customers, maintain accurate records, and provide administrative support across the business.
What you'll be doing:
- Co-ordinating service and maintenance activities for the engineering team
- Consulting with customers regarding appointments, updates and enquiries
- Maintaining accurate service records and documentation
- Supporting engineers before and after service visits
- Assisting with customer orders and service-related paperwork
- Supporting invoicing, reporting and general administrative processes
- Working closely with service, accounts and operations teams
- Maintaining efficient day-to-day service operations
- Providing wider administrative support where required
What we are looking for:
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous administration or customer service experience
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Positive and flexible approach to work
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Desirable:
- Experience using Sage or similar systems
- Experience using CRM or service management software

We are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician to join our team in Huddersfield. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to start a career in engineering and manufacturing while gaining practical workplace experience and working towards a recognised Level 3 qualification with Kirklees College.About the role
This is a hands-on technical support role within a growing engineering and manufacturing business.
You will work alongside experienced colleagues and learn how to support engineering and manufacturing activities, including:
Role activities- Reading and interpreting engineering data, drawings and documentation.
- Supporting engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Helping with production planning, scheduling and workflow.
- Producing technical documentation, data and reports.
- Using technical software to support processes, products or equipment.
- Carrying out quality checks, inspections and tests.
- Helping identify and solve engineering or manufacturing problems.
- Supporting product development, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Communicating technical information to colleagues and other stakeholders.
About the apprenticeship
The role is linked to the Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship delivered by Kirklees College.
You will study towards the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technologies.
College attendance is expected to be: Year 1 - two days per week; Years 2 and 3 - one day per week. Attendance will be at Kirklees College’s Engineering Centre in Huddersfield.
The apprenticeship is assessed through a work-based report with presentation and questioning, plus an interview supported by a portfolio of evidence.
What we are looking for- GCSE English and maths at grade 4 or above, or equivalent.
- A strong interest in engineering, manufacturing or technical problem-solving.
- Good attention to detail.
- A practical, organised and reliable approach.
- A willingness to learn and take feedback.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Confidence using computers and a willingness to learn technical software.
- A commitment to working safely and professionally.
Helpful but not essential
Experience in CAD, design technology, practical engineering, workshop activities, manufacturing, robotics, or process engineering would be helpful, but is not essential.
