CASE STUDY:
Brandon Leisure & Health Hub, West Suffolk Council

Background

A £2 million transformation of existing facilities to create Brandon Leisure & Health Hub integrates fitness facilities and NHS services – complementing the Government’s drive to encourage physical activity to prevent or manage long-term conditions as people age.

The new wellbeing hub also accommodates community healthcare professionals including district nurses, physiotherapists and other community and hospital services.

Improvements include a new gym and free weights area, specialist suite, changing rooms, Changing Places toilet, café, reception and health treatment rooms.

A Complete Solution

A 12-station suite of power assisted exercise machines was installed in November 2021 with a capital investment in the equipment of less than 3.6% of the overall transformation costs, including full training and support packs.

The Innerva Sales Manager provided full account management support to liaise with Abbeycroft Leisure, Alliance Leisure and their contractors to enable a smooth installation.

In partnership with TA6 powered by Alliance Leisure, Innerva provided a full onboarding schedule to ensure that power assisted exercise became an important asset in the business, which included training in the business elements such as marketing and customer retention.

Comprehensive equipment training was provided as part of the installation, which developed the skillsets of the fitness professionals who took part.

I didn’t expect it to be so social. I’ve made new friends and we’ve been out for meals together and are looking forward to shopping together when the weather improves
